In a corner of the sky crossed by the Milky Way shone a little star. Every night it woke up and began to spread its glow. Only a few, however, could see it, because the little star never moved from its little corner beside its mother. All around her the other stars danced with fireflies, chased moths, tickled the moon, pointed the way to travellers who had strayed, and dived down when someone wanted to make a wish. But not her. The little star always stayed in the same place.
